FRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics) Anti-corrosion Engineering

RP anti-corrosion is also called “epoxy resin FRP lining anti-corrosion”. That is to say, FRP anti-corrosion is realized in this way: Use epoxy resin glue to continuously stick glass fiber cloth of different thickness and short cut felt to the thickness required by design; at last, stick a layer of glass fiber surface felt and apply finish. Depending on the layers of glass fiber surface felt and paint, FRP anti-corrosion can be usually classified into: 2-felt-layer 3-paint-layer, 3-felt-layer 5-paint-layer, 4-felt-layer 6-paint-layer, and 5-felt-layer 8-paint-layer.

FRP anti-corrosion lining is mainly characterized by long-term water immersion resistance, acid proofness, acid-alkali resistance, low water permeability, strong adhesion, high water pressure resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, anticorrosion, mildew proofness, long service life, simple construction and no protection layer.

A Recommended ambient temperature of construction: -15℃-40℃; RH not greater than 80%. If ambient temperature of construction is below 0℃, it’s required to take heating measures for temperature rise.
B Before construction, make sure to choose appropriate construction matching ratio and construction methods by experiments depending on construction environment, humidity, raw material and construction features; only after this can large area construction be started.
C Construction site shall be windproof and dustproof. During construction and curing, it’s required to take waterproof, fireproof and sun-resistant and other necessary measures.

Application
FRP anti-corrosion is mainly applied to sewage pool, acid-base pool, wastewater pool, pickling bath, environmental water treatment equipment, storage tank, metal container lining, epoxy resin, vinylite, unsaturated resin, chemical tanks and chemical workshop floor.

Glass Flake Engineering

Epoxy Glass Flake Anti-corrosion Paint Series includes epoxy glass flake paint, epoxy coal tar pitch glass flake paint and solvent-free epoxy glass flake anti-corrosion paint, which are all of bi-component type. Epoxy glass flake paint’s component A takes epoxy resin as the base and is manufactured by the addition of glass flake, flexibilizer and anti-settling agent; epoxy coal pitch glass flake paint is added with coal pitch; component B is curing agent. Solvent-free epoxy glass flake anti-corrosion paint’s solvent is active thinner and free from any volatile gas.

Product Features
Heat resistance Up to 150℃.
Weather resistance When exposed externally, the product may become somewhat powdering or yellowing, but this will not reduce the protective property of the coating.
Acid resistance Resistant to acid medium (PH4-7).
Alkali resistance Strong alkali resistance.
Salt tolerance Excellent performance of neutral saline solution and alkaline salt solution resistance.
Waterproof Excellent performance of fresh water and saline water resistance.
Wearing resistance Strong erosion-corrosion resistance.

Product Use
Epoxy Glass Flake Paint can be applied to seriously corroded steel pipes, steel structures, storage tanks, containers, and environmental protection project(flue gas desulfurization/denitration/dedusting equipment and flue inside liner). It can be also used as anti-corrosion or anti-leakage layer, wear resistance layer or slip-resistance layer of concrete structures.
